At Webrr.Digital, we were early adopters of the WordPress platform and started making WordPress websites over 15 years ago.
We have a wealth of experience with WordPress ranging from WordPress websites with page builders, such as Elementor and WPBakery, to custom WordPress websites, which are built without page builders. What we recommend clients, is tailored to their business goals, needs and expertise.
One huge benefit of WordPress is that it can be used to easily manage all your content and even an online store through their WooCommerce plugin.
Nowadays, WordPress has a Content Management System (CMS) market share of over 60% and there are 500+ websites built using WordPress each day, compared to 60-80 per day amongst it’s competitor platforms.
This goes to show that WordPress is a tried, tested and trusted platform. Moreover, WordPress is adored by digital marketers and developers for its ease of use, flexibility and responsiveness.

Magento eCommerce Development
Magento is used almost solely as an eCommerce platform. It is built on open source technology and has a very flexible shopping cart system which helps brands sell online by providing them with total control of the look, feel, and functionality of their online stores.
For beginner users, and most small businesses, Magento can be seen as complex and difficult to use but there are actually over 185,000 live stores running on Magento worldwide.
Webrr.Digital is one of only a handful of Magento development agencies in Australia, building Magento eCommerce websites for clients across various sectors since it’s first release in 2007. We can manage Magento 1 and Magento 2 websites, however, as Magento 1 has reach end of life, we highly recommend all clients move to Magento 2.
Magento may be a good fit for your business if you require extreme flexibility, however, we do advise clients that investing in Magento can be extremely costly. Not only does Magento cost a business comparatively more than WordPress, with WooCommerce; Shopify, Squarespace etc. to set-up, it requires ongoing technical maintenance, whether through an in-house expert or via our custom Magento management services.
For all customers looking at migrating from Magento 1 to Magento 2, we do offer this as a premium service, please contact us to discuss.

Shopify eCommerce Websites
Shopify is the world’s leading ecommerce solution with more than 800,000 online stores worldwide. It slightly edges out WordPress’s WooCommerce as a preferred eCommerce platform, 35.46% vs 31.14%, as of 2021. Does this mean that Shopify is the right tool for your online store? The answer is: maybe.
Shopify allows beginners (and pros) to create online stores without coding and no software installations or hosting services are required. However, this is only true should you want very little customization. If customization is required, your website may end up costing you more than either of the previous aforementioned platforms.
Shopify features plans ranging from $29 – $299/month and there are no additional transaction fees if you use Shopify Payments, however if you do not, Shopify charges a transaction fee on top of the payment processor fee(e.g. Stripe of PayPal). Other things to consider is that Shopify has limitations in terms of SEO, such as poor URL structure, and creating non-ecommerce content is generally very difficult.

Mobile Web Development
You have most likely have seen it before, when you browse a web page on your desktop, compared to on your mobile, you may be taken to two very different looking websites for the same company. This is likely because the company has created a totally separate mobile site.
A desktop URL has a related smartphone-friendly web address, such as www.google.com and m.google.com, for instance. Whereby a responsively designed website is usually designed for desktops and sends data to a web server to show one version or another, looking at the device’s configurations and display size through CSS, a mobile website is natively designed for smartphones.
A separately standing mobile website offers the best user experience(UX) for your customers because you are free to design every element and every feature to look & work intuitively on small screens without thinking of the desktop version. However, one thing to consider is that a mobile website will be indexed as a separate website by Google and will effectively mean you are paying double for your web development costs.
Google favours responsively designed websites above all other types, but each options has its advantages and downfalls, and it is up to you to decide what fits your business best. Contact us to discuss if a mobile website is required for your business.
